They're very clicque-ish, over what who knows - potatoes? Even if you're heterosexual, white and come from money you're still viewed with distrust as that "new kid" for at least 5 years - this is something the natives enlightened me of when i lived there on loring afb inthe 70s. So something SO SCANDOLOUS like gay marriage isn't so gay to them. They're backwoods and cranky - ..but the countryside is beautiful...
