this Bev Perdue chick isn’t very good at sarcasm…

South Carolina’s Governor is named Bev Perdue – I know, stupid name, right? – and apparently she doesn’t know how to deliver sarcasm. There’s a certain inflection one must present when saying something with the intent of being sarcastic. When asked about how she would fix the economy, she said that they should perhaps suspend Congressional elections for two years and give them a free pass during that time, from this story:

“My point was one of sarcasm,” Perdue told reporters in Thomasville. “We really just need to encourage our leaders who are elected to work together and solve America’s problems.”

I’ve heard sarcasm once or twice, and I’ve even been known to engage in such behavior on occasion; I listened to the audio clip of this, and it really doesn’t sound like any form of sarcasm that I’m accustomed to. But this is The South, and maybe that’s how they do sarcasm there – when someone finishes speaking, the people listening go through everything that person said line-by-line asking them if that was sarcasm or not. That sounds tedious, The South is weird.

It must be difficult being a fat person; first of all, no one likes you who doesn’t already know you. Just watch people in their seats on airplanes when the big dude starts down the aisle, everyone gets that ‘shit, that would be just my luck’ look on their face. In related news, New Jersey’s fat governor had to go the hospital, from this story:

Gov. Chris Christie was hospitalized this morning after he complained of having trouble breathing, according to the governor’s office.

I imagine the exchange between Christie and whoever he had take him to the hospital was difficult…

- I think… you need… to take me… to the hospital.

- Why! What’s wrong?

- Breathing… having trouble… breathing.

- Oh, no, that’s what you always sound like.

- Hospital… breathing… difficult.

- You may not always hear it, but that’s how you breath; maybe because of the weight.

They’re saying Christie has asthma and is fine… except for the morbid obesity of course.

Tim Pawlenty is some guy now running for President of the United States, who used to be some guy that was a Governor of Minnesota. I don’t really know what to say about the guy. I don’t care. The election is in November 2012, that’s almost a year and a half from now. But he announced he’s running for President and this website is about politics, so…

This video sucks: it’s too long, the background music is too loud, and a few seconds in he mentions he’s not going to pass out cupcakes – now all I can think about is that he’s not going to give me a cupcake. I didn’t even want a stupid cupcake anyway, Tim! Go fuck yourself.

The Governor of Wisconsin is Scott Walker – the only reason you’ll know his name is because he’s the douche-bag who is trying to end collective bargaining for public employee unions (whatever the fuck that means); anyway, he’s pissed off a lot of people and has been said to be in the pocket of some very rich conservative business men – called the Koch brothers. A blogger - named Ian Murphy – from buffalobeast.com prank-called Walker pretending to be one of these rich guys and got him to say a bunch of damning stuff.

Walker’s an idiot; I’ve never heard what either of these Koch brothers sound like, but this is a terrible impersonation of an actual human being. The only way this could be more embarrassing for Governor Walker would be if as soon as he hung up Ashton Kutcher burst into his office, sat on his lap, tongue-kissed him, and then whispered in his ear, “Baby, you’ve been punked… wanna fuck now?” And after they’re done screwing, Ashton points to the hidden camera that was streaming it live on TMZ.

Should you listen to the call? I don’t care. I started to listen, but got bored and remembered there is a lot of porn online.

This somewhat mannish-looking busty gal is Kristin Davis. She was the Madam (whore wrangler) who supplied New York’s elite with whores, like she did for former Governor and current television personality Elliot Spitzer. I guess she’s running for Governor of New York and will be a part of the one and only Governor’s debate tonight; she has the time to run now that she’s out of prison and can’t run her illegal business anymore. From this story:

Davis touts herself as an “accomplished businesswoman,” putting her in line with a slew of women executives who have plunged into politics this year.

“At its height we had about 140 girls, locations in five different cities and a call center with 10 employees that we ran 24-7 out of Montevideo, Uruguay,” she says. “It was very lucrative.”

She’s already lost – not because she never had a chance – because she outsourced her call center; shipping valuable American jobs overseas. And don’t tell me these were jobs Americans were unwilling to do. Who doesn’t want to get paid telling whore where to go, what to wear, and what dirty things they’ll be expected to do.
