Tina Fey did her Sarah Palin impersonation on Saturday Night Live, and it was okay… it was good idea, I guess, about the Sarah Palin Network – worth watching. But of course, the writing on SNL is fairly poor so it could have been a lot better. Why would anyone watch SNL? It’s not usually funny, and when it’s a little funny those bits get put online.

This is just embarrassing. It’s not funny. It’s really not funny. And I don’t mean that in a ‘hey, you shouldn’t make fun of our President, he’s a great man, going to change the world… you racists’ kind of way; I don’t care about that. I care about watching four minutes of something that is supposed to be entertainment and never coming close to being entertained – except that part of me that likes when people fail miserably, that part loved it.

Did you notice how the audience kind of sounds like they spent a descent amount of money to go to New York and see SNL, a show they grew up with and where it always seemed like the audience was rolling with laughter and they dreamt about the day when they’d be the ones in the audience, they’d be the ones rolling with laughter… so they go, and they laugh, but only because they didn’t spend a bunch of cash to sit in an audience just looking around and shrugging at each other.

What is wrong with Saturday Night Live? It’s like they’re just phoning it in. This guy doesn’t even try to sound like Barack Obama. He does look a lot more like the president than that other guy, and at least they didn’t settle with the fat black guy who wasn’t even funny on Nickelodeon. Although a fat dude dressed like the president who has slime dropped on his head after Mark Summers counts down five seconds could be considered Art. Or at least be a cartoon in New Yorker Magazine – if you added a really skinny turkey in a bottom corner holding a protest sign that reads “MEOW!” Wow, you know, that’s kind of brilliant.

Damn it! You suck SNL… Fuck!
