they got the man all wrong…

Ladies, ladies, ladies… come on; Silvio Berlusconi does not mean to offend, for he is a lover of all women. So put down those signs of protest, come inside, undress to your comfort level, eat his food, drink his wine, and make love - to him or amongst yourselves, either way - Silvio is happy as long as you are happy.
One hundred thousand Italian women are protesting the self-proclaimed “best prime minister in 150 years of Italian history.” Look at him; Silvio is a man of passion, not malice. From this story:
-
“This man offends us, stop him,” reads the petition for “women’s dignity” that drew more than 98,000 signatures, according to La Repubblica.
They are most recently offended by a comment he made about opposition deputy Rosy Bindi, that she was “prettier than she is intelligent.” Which doesn’t sound too bad… until you see her:

I never understood the phrase “she is a handsome woman,” until now. I can see where what he said could be viewed as offensive to women, but that is just not true – it is just offensive to ugly women. Okay? You feel better, baby? No. You want to go shopping? No… Are you sure? I’ll buy you a pretty dress. Uh-oh, I think I saw a smile… No? I think I did. Oh, yes I did. You know the best accessory to a pretty dress is a pretty smile; you want a pretty dress don’t you? There it is. There’s my pretty girl. Time to go shopping? Good, now go clean yourself up, you’re a mess.
